The El Rito Art Association (ERAA) is sponsoring a Community Art Project where at least two “Mojigangas” (large parade puppets) and several of the “large head” paper-mache masks will be produced by residents of the area for use in the “Annual El Rito Fiesta Parade.”
We hope that you are as excited as we are about this project and will choose to attend our initial orientation meeting at 5:00 p.m. on June 9th at the El Rtio Library. Additional information about this project is provided below:
Who: Anyone between the ages of nine (9) and seventy (70) . NOTE: Anyone under the age of 12 must have an older sibling or adult attending the workshops with them.
When and Where: An introductory orientation meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on June 9, 2018 at the El Rito Library. At the Fiber Arts Building at the Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) El Rito Campus.
Wednesdays from June 20th to July 25th = Building will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for participants to work on these projects.
Saturdays from June 23rd to July 28th - Building will be open from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
